Thanks for visiting!
About this blog:
This place has evolved as my life evolves. It started as a babies, biceps, books, and bitchin’ businesses blog, and now I’ve resurrected it to be my personal blog (again), recording a few milestones and drama with my body.
I called my blog What I Run Into because it’s what it is.
I’m now in my 40s, aka middle age, wearing midsize clothes, and probably having a midlife crisis. Who isn’t? Ha!
** Note: Many blog posts prior to 2014 have now been archived – you may run into redirects; that is on purpose.**
I own Cup of Joe Social and Chris Lam Connects. I’ve started to do away with agency-type, day-to-day work because I have a kid and no childcare. Thank you, pandemic. My “new” direction is offering strategy sessions, office hours, and teaching digital marketing.
I used to work in a PR agency as the lead social media manager, then I went in-house for two very different industries (financial services and entertainment) as their senior social media manager. When I was laid off at the entertainment company, I officially launched my consultancy, specializing in social media marketing and strategy for entertainment, tech, and small businesses.
Before that, I worked in nonprofit and fundraised for women’s health issues.
I live in the greater Los Angeles area, and I was born and raised here.
