Disclosure: I received a pair of Vionic shoes for my honest review and #solestory campaign.
When The Wife and I flew out to Maui for our babymoon, I brought two pairs of cheapo flip flops, sneakers and flat sandals with me. One day during our trip, it seemed we walked for miles and my feet, legs and back were killing me. When I told The Wife “my dogs are barking,” it wasn’t an exaggeration. Sure, I was also at my third trimester, but good lord, flat shoes with zero support are no one’s friend.
My #solestory – Vionic Shoes Review
If only I had brought a pair of Vionic sandals with me! I probably wouldn’t have had to take a bunch of ibuprofen and ice my feet after that long day.
The good people at Vionic Shoes sent me a pair of (what else?) Tide II Toe Post Sandals (aka awesome flip flops) in (what else?) leopard print recently, and I love them so much. I’ve worn these flip flops EVERY SINGLE DAY for the last two weeks. Casual jeans? Tide II. Shorts? Tide II. Tank top and boyfriend jeans? Tide II. MOVING DAY? Tide II.
Also, I’m a So Cal native. We LIVE in flip flops!
These are some damn comfortable flip flops. You know they’re comfy when you’re wearing the baby and running errands in them. I try not to wear flip flops (or sandals without a back strap) when I wear the baby because I get scared of tripping. I have not had any worries with these.
We took Baby Spawn out to the park and huh, guess what, we matched. I didn’t even notice until I took our photo. *rawwwr*
These are not Frankenstein shoes. I know that when you think “orthotic heel,” y’all think Frankenstein. The sandals are made with a patented Orthaheel Technology, absorbing shock and helping to stabilize and align your feet in their natural position. The Tide II sandals are also shockingly (haha!) lightweight. I had expected a dense flip flop but no, they’re relatively lightweight for an “orthotic” shoe.
If you’re not a leopard fan (pshhhhhhht!), Vionic also offers the Tide II Toe Post Sandals in sequins! I almost got the gold ones but then I saw the leopard print. How could I say no?
I don’t know about you but they complement my leopard shoes collection perfectly. (Missing are my leopard heels which I had packed away already.) While I’m pretty much set on shoes, Vionic makes it super easy for you to find styles that offer leopard print! Gah! Enablers! I’m also a big fan of stripes…. I’m eyeing this pair of Enisa wedges for the rest of the summer.
Spring is here, summer is coming. Baby Spawn and I have swimming lessons in a few weeks. Memorial Day weekend is coming up.
Can you guess which shoe I’ll be sporting this holiday weekend?
Thank you, Vionic Shoes team, for making my feet, legs, and back better-aligned this summer. My body thanks you.
Disclosure: I was provided a pair of Vionic shoes for the purposes for this honest review and #SoleStory campaign.
Ok I have a weird question. How did you find the little fabric piece that goes between your toes? Sometimes that’s the worst part of a flip flop for me if the fabric isn’t soft enough. I end up with a rash or it’s just uncomfortable.
It’s not weird at all! I worry about that part rubbing skin off my feet, so I get it. It’s very comfortable and there is no chafing!
I am a diehard FitFlop fan but those are adorable!
I’ve taken a peek at their offerings and I love the leopard flats!
I think Vionics will be just as comfy for you, M!
Those are really cute! I live in Flip Flops but view offer any support. I need to check these out!
I think you’ll like these a lot! I didn’t think they’d be as lightweight but they are – perfect for everyday!
I need those with sequins, stat!
They are pretty! And the gold ones would go with your Beauty and the Beast themed outfits! The blue ones would go with your Sleeping Beauty ones… (Trying to remember if you had blogged about Belle or Aurora…)
These are super cute! I checked out the sequins too. and their wedges. I live in flats also and I remember my 3rd tri with Aubrey how MUCH it hurt to WALK. I guess carrying around 30lbs of extra weight finally hit me :/ (i also kinda LOVE your vans!)
Yes!! I think these are going to be awesome as your pregnancy progresses into the summer – hot hot hot. The VANS are on sale at the outlets – my friend Jen got them at a discount while I paid full price. 😐
