I think I found another perfect red lipstick! My homegirl AJ went on a hunt for me and picked up MAC x Maleficent collection‘s lipstick called True Love’s Kiss for me and her! I heart it like I heart Maleficent and most Disney villains. I think this shade is more versatile and wearable than Ruby Woo. I know – them’s fightin’ words!

MAC x Maleficent “True Love’s Kiss” red lipstick – packaging
With my NC35 skin, True Love’s Kiss just looks better. I should take a pic of Ruby Woo but I’m lazy to go outside and redo my lipstick. I’m also lazy to wear a lip liner. (See pics below.)
For your reference, I wear NC35 with MAC, Stromboli with NARS, “I’m all the rage” Beige with Benefit, Tan with Tarte, and N4 Buff Beige with L’oreal. Hope that helps you figure out your skintone.

This is not as blue-red as I thought. I think Ruby Woo is more blue-red than True Love’s Kiss. Overall, it glides on well – it’s not matte. It’s also not so glossy that I feel like I need to check my teeth for lipstick stains. I put on two coats/swishes and then blot just a tiny tiny bit to avoid the lipstick-teeth problem.
I had dinner the other night and even though I constantly blotted with a napkin, I could still see traces of lip color on my lips. A good sign, in my opinion!

Crazy ass close-up: MAC x Maleficent “True Love’s Kiss” red lipstick – Outdoor lowlight
This last photo is kind of blown-out because The Wife used the flash to get rid of shadows in the bright light. I wanted to show the brightness of the lipstick. It’s not as bright as my Rimmel lipstick, which is good if you want to wear this in the daytime.
Here I am at the end of Week 31, y’all! That’s a Liz Lange top from Target and Old Navy maternity leggings.

31 Weeks and wearing MAC x Maleficent “True Love’s Kiss” – bright sunlight + flash
Lookin’ good! I think I also like it more than Ruby Woo. The RW is a nice matte but it makes my lips feel dry… Which I guess is obvious but I always thought lipstick shouldn’t feel dry even if it’s a matte.
