Logitech asked me a question. What makes me smile about the dad in my life? There are so many ways to answer this. I have a dad, stepdad, father-in-law and uncles who I consider dad figures in my life.
I smile when they smile. Each one has been there in certain stages (and ages) of my life. When I look back to my childhood, my dad was essentially a single parent with sole custody of my brother and me. I saw how giving my dad was. He would work on friends’ and family members’ cars, do house repairs, renovations, and so on – all without an expectation of payment. It’s just what he did.
My father-in-law is one of the most generous people I know. He has such a big heart. He puts everyone (and I mean everyone) before himself. He, too, helps his friends and family with house repairs, car stuff and so on. (Funny how I found another dad who does this, no?) He loves Toddler Spawn to the moon and back.
Fast forward to our little family…
The Wife makes me smile. He is a wonderful father to Toddler Spawn. I couldn’t ask for a better dad for Spawn.
I smile when I just watch him BE A DAD. He will read the same “Vader’s Little Princess” book to her as many times as she wants. (We hate that book so much.) He will keep on reading Elmo’s books over and over and over. I’m sure he’s memorized the whole story by now. The Wife steps up when I have to leave for work. If he has to be the mom and dad for a while, he does it, with zero complaints. It’s just what good dads do, right?
When Logitech sent us a Father’s Day pack of goodies, The Wife smiled. We received the Logitech MX Master Wireless Mouse, the Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum Surround Sound Gaming Headset, the Logi Circle Camera and the Logi ZeroTouch! He was stoked that we could finally check on Toddler Spawn with a new camera, the Logi Circle. The mouse is going to work out – not just for gaming but for precision photoshopping! The headset may be for him, but it’s really for me too – so I don’t have to hear his gaming on the PS4. Haha! The Wife’s car does not have bluetooth installed so the ZeroTouch is going to be perfect for hands-free phonecalls and more!
In addition, Logitech sent a giftcard to The Art of Shaving. Now, this is going to be a super treat! I’m setting up an appointment for The Wife to visit their Barber Spa!

The love in his eyes that he has for his kids and grandkids. He is always there when needed
I love seeing my husband with our daughter. It makes me smile everyday!
I smile when he makes me laugh. My hubby makes a great daddy and will be welcoming baby 3 this year.
My dad is always there to lend a helping hand to his family & friends. He has taught me so many great lessons in life & how to be a good mommy!
I smile when I see my kids laughing and playing, I see their father’s smile in their eyes while he is away, he is working so hard for us as a family and it’s hard for them while he is away so when I see those smiles it makes me smile.
My father in law raised an amazing daughter (my wife) and is a great grandpa to our children as well as being an all around good human being. I hope that one day, my children will see me as I see him.
I love that my dad is such a caring and selfless person
watching my husband play with the kids always makes me smile, my dad wasn’t around for me
his funny stories and the jokes he tells
My grandpa was my father figure, his dedication, while still being stern is what makes me smile.
His hugs 🙂 🙂 🙂
he is funny and a just is a quicky person but hes my stepfather but he not married no more long story but he so so funny
I always loved how he never took himself too seriously. He was notorious for his silliness and sense of humor. 🙂
i love that my dad is so reliable
I love it how much he loves his kids!!
My husband makes me smiles by helping with household chores and taking care of our kids, human and canine!
My dad has a very kind heart. That makes me smile.
My dad’s fishing stories crack me up. One time he went “ice fishing” with a friend. He and this friend never seemed to catch any fish. This time though he wss totally busted because the the ice had melted too much for it to even be possible to fish. Turns out that most of the time that they were “fishing” they actually were hanging out having a few beers.
What makes me smile is the way Dad plays with his grandson, my son. He loves playing games with him, and listens to whatever stories my son tells him. Hes great.
Even when he has worked 12 hours, he will still come home and have a tea party with our youngest daughter

My father makes me smile whenever I see him interacting with my daughter. He is so good with her.
Dad making breakfast on Saturday morning.
Watching my dad play with his grandchildren- it’s so sweet (usually)!
What makes me smile about my dad is he is always there for me when I need him just one visit and phone call away.
My dad taught me how to play basketball when I was a little girl.
Oh that’s easy! I always knew he would be a good Dad. It makes me smile when the kids actually say that either one of us can do something. From kissing a boo boo to talking about a problem, he is ever present and such a huge part of their lives.
My husband is the best dad ever!
He literally busts ass to support us and doesn’t ever ask for anything.
There is a lot of good memories of my dad that would make me smile and I am glad I have those! During Christmas.. he had enough patience to untangle Christmas light lines and then sit and find the dead bulb… patience.. lol My dad passed in 2007.. he liked Christmas.. so seeing that stuff makes me smile.
Cheers!!
Tim
My husband makes me smile every time he cleans! I feel so happy that he wants to keep my home neat & tidy!
my husband is a pretty great dad. he and jr go on regular daddy-daughter dates (their favorite is bowling+IHOP); he STILL allows her and her makeup collection to turn him into the ugliest woman I’ve ever seen (and she’s 11!); he’s never missed a dr’s appointment or school awards ceremony; and most important of all, not only will she not fall asleep at night without her “Lady” tucking her in, but he is and always be her softest place to land when times get tough.
My hubby is an amazing dad as I knew he would be. Silly and sweet.
My dad is awesomely sarcastic and kind at the same time, and my FIL is giving in so many ways. Great giveaway!
What makes me smile about the dad in my life is his calm patience. I know I seem like the laid back cool dad but I have a low patience level when it comes to our children. My dad in my life can calmly handle the situation when it comes to parenting our children. He’s able to diffuse, deduce and decide quickly. He is calm cool and then right back to adulting.
My dad is really proud of his hair. He has a full head still, and takes really good care of it. It’s the oddest thing, because he’ll wear old sweatshirts out to lunch, bit that hair will be perfect. Go figure. Love my dad!
My husband parents like there is no greater joy in his life than to read “one more book” after the first 16 at bedtime. There are such things as unicorns!
Hello prizes. I want you. 😉
He makes me laugh
YES!
My husband makes me smile as he is taking the boys camping this weekend. I get the house all to myself.
My Dad always made it a point that whenever I got in trouble as a kid, he’d come to see me before I fell asleep and tell me he loved me. He taught me about forgiveness and unconditional love. I do the same as a parent today.
My Dad always keeps our kitchen sink clean; we didn’t quite ask him to be the family “dishwasher” but he just stepped into that role (lol thankfully). The biggest smiles we get, are when he makes his special Adobo dish for us. I still can’t replicate it!
My husband makes me smile when he “voices” the dogs thoughts. He makes me laugh every day…
My dad is the funniest, quirkiest, and most loving person I know. Seeing him makes me smile. He is always in a good mood and keeps positive regardless of what happens.
My husband makes us all smile by being silly just like a kid.
my husband is the best and he makes me smile just by always helping out with chores or playing with our toddler!
