Friday Five 8.7.15: Five Instagram Accounts to Follow

It’s the Friday Five! Are you on Instagram? Do you hop over to the “discover” tag and check out what is trending or what your friends have liked? I like to see who Instagram suggests I follow based on who I already follow. It’s been kind of fun seeing new accounts and finding some real gems. Why yes, this is what I do when I’m woken up by a baby who is comfort nursing at 11pm, 1:30am, 4am, 5am, 6:30am….

Even if you’re just a talentless attention whore be the BEST talentless attention whore …Get a TV show, build a million dollar app, open a boutique, marry one of the greatest rappers of all time! But don’t do all this flexing on the gram, trade out your self respect and integrity and not WIN in the end. You have no assets doing bottle service and sleeping on an air mattress at the end of the night…but your followers up 👀 that’s not poppin! You losin. 2. @GentleParenting. I try to practice respectful parenting. That means I’m not going to call her ‘smart girl’ or ‘good girl’ for every little thing she does. That’s just not my style. I also won’t just place a toy in front of her face. She has the power and authority to grab a toy for herself and play. I don’t need and don’t want to be in her face all the time. The Gentle Parenting account is similar to respectful parenting, and I like what they post as reminders, especially when we are in the presence of people who aren’t familiar with or scoff at what I’m trying to do.
