Misc Updates – Sorry for the delay in posts! Good god, I haven’t blogged in a while. But I have been keeping up my reading… I am three books ahead of schedule with my 50 in 2013 goal. Unfortunately they’re not super fantastic UF books. Just OK.
I do have another topic to write, which I noted in my GR profile because I was too lazy to write it down in my notebook: the diff betw UF YA and UF adult. Series like Kate Andrews and Elena Michaels force you into a world where paranormal exists in the world. YA UF eases you in w a protagonist thrown into a paranormal status or situation where it is revealed.
I’ve also kept my notebook full of blog topics but just haven’t had the time to sit down and push one out. I stare at my laptop and think “Didn’t I have to do something tonight… oh yeah… cook dinner, clean the bathroom, avoid phonecalls.”
The Gym Update – Still loving this new gym. I haven’t gotten myself out of the bed early enough for 6am spinning. Honestly, it’s so cold that I don’t want to leave my bed. Last weekend, I almost fell off the bike. *insert laughter* Now I can understand Bridget Jones’ falling off her bike.
Did you watch the Golden Globes? I loved Jennifer Lawrence’s acceptance speech. “I beat Meryl.” Hahahahahaha!! If you’ve watched ‘The First Wives Club,’ you’d get it. Love that she used the line from a fun movie. I can’t believe she had to defend herself on Letterman about that line. It’s a quote, dimwits! Look it up.
In other news – this has been happening all over the in real life with people I know. Either they’ve been facepalm-ing or I’ve been facepalm-ing.

Lastly, I’ve transitioned out of Communications Chair and into the Membership Chair role with Social Media Club LA (SMCLA). I’m continuing my stint as blogger as well. If you’re interested in joining one of the largest chapters of the international SMC, let me know! Individual membership is only $100 a year. Your fee helps us with keeping our ticket prices low and affordable for everyone in the LA area.
