I am missing a few pics this week, but I’m making it up to you by posting a bunch from my work trip in Las Vegas. Here we go!
This was my first ever flight to Vegas. All other million times, we’ve driven there. There were about 100 or so people on the plane, and I got to sit in my own row. Yay! Later I switched to the middle seat so I could stretch out; plus I figured the middle seat would be cushier than the highly coveted window and aisle seats. I was right.
I stayed at the Mirage, the host hotel for the conference. My room was right next to the elevators which sucked – I could everyone coming in and out, talking so loud.
When my first session was over, I texted my old friend G, who lives in Vegas, for dinner. We headed to a vegan/veggie resto called Greens and Proteins. I highly recommend the vegan pizza! Water began to stream down this neat vertical garden on the wall. It was like ‘water plinko!’
I had to walk past this store to get to the conference area at the Mirage. You just can’t get away from the Kardashians…
Another day, another “conference” meal. At the end of the day, I texted G again and asked her if she was up for dinner with me. My pal G was game and asked if I liked ramen. Dude. I love ramen. So she picked me up and went to a new place she’d been eyeing, Sora Ramen. We both ordered the butter corn miso ramen, and we chose right! (We did take the pat of butter out of our bowl.)
On my last day in Vegas, I spotted an entire table of mini bottles of Cokes! It’s been a long time since I’ve seen mini GLASS bottles! I was very tempted to swipe a few, but knew I’d never drink enough before heading to the airport.
I flew home with little fanfare. Once again, I got my own row, which was awesome! Thank you, fellow flyers, for not booking my flight!
The next day, my team and I headed to LeRoy’s for diner food for lunch. This is a total gem in the San Gabriel Valley. I’m so glad the team took me here. I chose the “traditional” (not Begian, ick) waffle with strawberries and whipped cream, egg whites and bacon. Ho-ly-cow. That’s a good waffle. Take a look at what my coworkers ordered: patty melt with fantastic tater tots; steak and eggs…
The weekend was spent with old friends and new babies. No pics here. Rest assured, I did get spit up on with regurgitated breast milk. Baby R spit up all over my Game of Thrones t-shirt. I guess he’s not a fan.
