Social Media Overview deck

If you’re LinkedIn with me, you’ve seen this already. If you’re interested in what I do professionally… I’ve posted my deck I presented to my alma mater’s Student Marketing Association on the other blog.

TWiP: 2.14 – 2.20.11

Lord Jesus. I have neglected this blog. I am so tired when I get home that I just want to eat, sit on my butt, and go to bed. I’ve been trying to read a new book at night, and the FTH has told me that he’s been finding my Kindle strewn on his pillow while I’m passed out. Enough complaining about how tired I am. Maybe if I started running again…. (I haven’t run since the Disney Half.)

Shall we get going? I am so behind in TWiP posts!

2.14.11 – NOTHING. (There are quite of few of blank posts. I’ll tell myself that I need to take a photo and end up forgetting…)

2.15.11 – I went to my alma mater to speak about social media. This banner was standing in the lecture hall.

Drucker School - Student Marketing Association banner - 2.15.11

2.16.11 – Hard to see but I find these “How am I driving” signs amusing. Does anyone every call in and COMPLIMENT a truck driver?

How Am I Driving? - 2.16.11

2.17.11 – I took a photo of one of our interns at the PR firm, but I think it’s best we move along.

2.18.11 – Lunch from Jack N Jill’s. They always add a Tootsie Pop as a treat. I’ve never seen or eaten a Banana-flavored Tootsie Pop!

Banana Tootsie Pop - 2.18.11

2.19.11 – Another TREASURE from the Dollar Bookstore in Burbank!! Ok, so fine, this is Volume 2 of the Jackie Chan biography, but I only want to know what happened “later on” anyway!

Jackie Chan, Volume 2 - 2.19.11

2.20.11 – NOTHING! I can’t even remember that far back. (This is pathetic.)

Poor man’s dinner

Last Friday I set up a “poor man’s dinner”/breakfast for dinner meeting with some old Drucker classmates. I love breakfast for dinner, and breakfast usually isn’t that expensive, so voila! Not all of us are employed, so why force people to pay a lot for a meal they might not be comfortable paying? IHOP it was.

ihop

Those in attendance was an eclectic group of classmates I used to have classes with. My Includer strength makes me want to gag sometimes. (But that’s another blog post sometime later.) Overall, I think dinner went well. I was able to play ‘host’ and talk to almost everyone.

It was nice to see Andy there, who still meditates EVERY DAY. This is totally amazing to me since he didn’t seem to be the type who would subscribe to PSM at all. Claudia and I encouraged him to email Jeremy, and basically offer himself as a case study. :)

Two of my carpool BFFs were there, which always makes it a fun time. I can just sit and listen to Karim talk about strategy all day. :p The man is fucking intelligent.

What I Ran Into today: alums

Today, I slacked off and did not run this morning. Instead, I pulled the external HD out and started backing up July’s photos and any new music I had uploaded onto my iTunes since March. :p I hate this chore, but I know I’ll be appreciative later.

I met up with a handful of Drucker alums who work(ed) in the entertainment industry in Burbank for lunch. It was great to see them outside of a classroom. We ate at the Corner Cafe - I recommend the hummus!
