Wordless Wednesday: Sprinkles ATM 5.30.12

Oh yes I did.

Sprinkles ATM, Beverly Hills

I made a declaration the day before that I wanted to go to Sprinkles and try out the ATM. The Wife ended up running into Rachel Zoe. Funny. I was surprised he remembered/knew who she was. She definitely looks 1000x better in real life than on TV. Wish she and Brad would kiss and make up.

The ATM? Cute! I ordered a strawberry cupcake. Yum!

TWiP: 2.21 – 2.27.11 (Orlando!)

Alright! More photos! Here is the last week of Feb (minus the 28th). All photos taken with my HTC Evo and Canon 870IS P&S.

2.21.11 – The laundromat was incredibly busy for President’s Day. Almost every dryer was taken, and I go to a pretty big laundromat. Ever had to call dibs for a dryer? Yeah, me neither. Until that day.

Fight Club Laundromat - 2.21.11

2.22.11 – I bought a Groupon for Yummy Cupcakes a long time ago and figured I’d better redeem it before it expired. These are some dang delicious cupcakes!

Vegan and regular Yummy Cupcakes - 2.22.11

2.23.11 – NOTHING. I worked until some insane time and then packed up.

2.24.11 – (Canon) On our way to Orlando! Look at the crap I can buy while sitting in a Virgin America airplane!! I could’ve bought a food steamer or diamond earrings!

In-flight shopping via Virgin America - 2.24.11

2.25.11 – This was our first full day in Orlando. Thankfully we went on Mission:Space LAST. Good lord. That ride really f’d me up, and I’m usually the “strong” one who can get on any roller coaster, virtual ride, etc. No, I felt so nauseous during and after this ride, I had to sit outside for a good hour.

I will puke on you, wife. Stop taking pics of me. EPCOT - 2.25.11

2.26.11 – Day 2 at Hollywood Studios. Look – a “normal” picture of us!

Hold on! Asian driver! - 2.26.11

2.27.11 – Day of the Princess Half Marathong! I took this as we ran (ha! more like trudged) toward the Magic Kingdom.

Recap: Cupcake Camp LA (photo heavy)

One of my best friends Anita and I headed off on a Saturday afternoon to Cupcake Camp LA. We found out about it through Roberta who was volunteering at the event.

It was held at the Henry Fonda Music Box Theatre – one of my favorite venues to see bands. Even if jackasses are taller than you and stand right in front of you, you can usually find a good place to stand. One of my most favorite Guster shows was held here a couple years ago. (But then again, what Guster show isn’t my favorite??)

While the rain subsided in the afternoon, I’m still glad we paid the extra $$ to go “VIP.” We went right in, bypassing the block-long line, and perused all the different cupcakes this event offered. Our $30 ticket got us 5 cupcakes of our choice, a goodie bag, and auto entry into the venue. (Reg tickets were $15.)

Bakers from bakespace.com (the social networking site for foodies/bakers/cooks) came in full force with their goodies. There were at least 30 bakers set up on the floor and also on the balcony! (We totally forgot about the balcony bakers and didn’t get to try one of their cupcakes.)

This is what I do when I'm not running... ha!

I ended up picking a couple of vegan cupcakes to try out. I love BabycakesNYC and I like trying out other vegan cupcakes. They were both different and pretty good. In the end, I voted for the salted caramel chocolate cupcake. Wow that was good.

The place was getting crowded so we walked up to the balcony and took a seat to enjoy our sugar high and catch up. It’s been a long time since I’ve spent real time with Anita, so this was a treat. We even spent at least another 45 minutes on Hollywood Blvd, just chatting on the sidewalk. FYI, Anita is one of the gals who inspired me to start running.

There were a couple of photo booths you could take silly pictures and get them emailed to you. Voila!
