When you attend a power yoga class at noon, chances are, people are coming in hungry. Call me sadistic if you want; I like to call myself an opportunist. The team at Dat Mat sent me a pizza yoga mat to try out. So I brought it. At noon. To do yoga. Muahaha!
During the entire hour, my yoga instructor mentioned my Dat Mat four times. Haha! I told her there was a donut mat available, and the rest of the class groaned.
My Dat Mat Pizza Yoga Mat Made Everyone Hungry
You’re welcome, class.
But I’m not here just to tell you about my sadistic side. I’m here to share how my Dat Mat did in class.
- Bright and memorable – No one can steal my mat.
- Cushy 1/4″ thickness – Balancing while doing a standing split or half moon is not easy. I appreciate that I can grip on and center myself.
- Measures 68″ x 24″ – My fat ass totally fits, and it is long enough for me to stretch out and not feel the gross gym floor.
- Made of polymer environmentally-friendly resin (PER) – I am super happy I’m not breathing in toxic fumes while sticking my face on my mat.
Today, rather than bringing my awesome mat to the gym, I did a very short yoga session at home. It lies just as well on carpet – but of course, a hard surface is best to keep the mat gripped down.
If you’re a yoga newbie, consider picking up a couple of yoga blocks to help steady your balance poses. Especially if you are doing things with one leg and one arm up.
Since The Wife keeps stealing my other yoga mat for his random yoga workouts, I'll be keeping my Dat Mat with me. First, he does yoga. WHUT is happening?!! (That's right. The office that he works at actually hired a yoga teacher to run a class after work every week.)
I don't even need to strap up my pizza mat for storage. Dat Mat yoga mats get shipped in its super cute and reusable cardboard container! So it stays lint-free and, in my case, toddler hand prints-free.
Thanks to Dat Mat for sending a mat of my choice (pizza!) to try out and review!
