When I See an Opp to Stick My Head in a Hole: LA County Fair (Photo Heavy)

The LA County Fair ends this weekend, so it’s the last few days before you’ve got to wait another year. What are you waiting for? The Wife and I brought our BIL and his wife to the Fair a few weeks ago and had a grand (sweaty) time. We ran into super photographer Caroline Tran, her hubby J (my longtime pal), and their baby Cameron.

I had not been to the LA County Fair since I was maybe 14 or so. Actually I can’t remember. I might have been younger than that. So that’s over 20 years of missing out on fried everything and farm animals. I made up for lost time. Warning: this is photo-heavy! (Click on a photo to see a bigger size.)

You know what else ends? The TC Charton sunglasses giveaway I’m hosting! Add your comment as an entry to win a pair of your choice! Deadline is today!

There was a re-creation of Ben Franklin’s home and the first USPS. Lucky for us, we’d seen the real thing when we visited Philly a couple years back.

What? You’ve scrolled down? Well here’s some good news. Ralphs supermarket still has discounted tickets for the Fair. We paid $10 for each adult ticket. A great deal, IMO.

Have fun!

  1. Looks like it was a good time. I love eating all the horrible fair food. We had fried Oreos last weekend at the fair. :)
