When I was 14, I remember watching Friday Night Videos on NBC…on a Friday night. It premiered a new video by a group called New Kids On The Block. It was “Hangin’ Tough.” It was awesome. My “Are you there God? It’s me, Margaret”-reading self was enamored. My TV diet consisted of 21 Jump Street, Beverly Hills 90210, and videos.
