7/11/10 Update

Happy 7-11 Day! :P 7-Eleven celebrates its 83rd birthday and gave out free Slurpees all day… until supplies lasted, anyway.

I am disappointed in myself for not blogging as much. I’ve just been busy and when I get home, I just want to:

1. read my Google Reader

2. eat dinner

3. drop dead

I think things will be better soon, in general. The SF Half is coming in two weeks. I’m feeling a little under-prepared, but still good. I ran 9 miles today around the Griffith Park golf course. I felt my knees creak during the first mile but toughed it out.

I’m listening to The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck on audiobook. It’s going much better than my reading the book. (I think I put the book down after 1 page.)

I’m still on book #10 of the Sookie books. That’s slow-going too. I felt this way around book #7 or so? It’s like Charlaine Harris ran out of steam and just started to re-hash some stuff. It’s a slow book.

I pulled up my GoogReader the other night and laughed out loud to Pajiba‘s review of “Predators.” Well, I laughed at the title of the review: “You never go full retard.” If you’ve seen “Tropic Thunder,” you’ll get it.

Oh and here’s the worst news of the day: I HAVE MISPLACED GRETA THE GARMIN!!! (Insert total bummed face.)

My fancy running watch with GPS is nowhere to be found. I spent a half hour ransacking the house before I gave up and left to run. I don’t know what the heck I did with it or where I left it. I always put it back in its place on my dining room table/desk. FTH tried to help but he thinks it’s lost. I’ll be doing a more thorough search when I have full use of my legs. :\
